Overview

Hotel Airone is in front of the Santa Lucia train station. It is a welcoming structure overlooking the Grand Canal, the main waterway in Venice. Navigating through the old constructions and historic buildings, you'll reach the Rialto area and Piazza San Marco.
Our hotel is in the Santa Croce district, one of the oldest in Venice, where you can admire the fascinating Chiesa di San Giacomo dell'Orio and the works of Matisse, Klimt and Kandiskij at the Cà Pesaro, the home of the International Modern Art Gallery.
Further on, after the Ponte degli Scalzi, Strada Nuova will be on your right: this lively road, full of shop windows and commercial activity leads you to the Rialto area, where you'll find the familiar architecture of the famous bridge and the busy hum of the market and the traditional Venetian shops.
From Rialto, walk along the narrow alleys of the Mercerie, among the boutiques, jewelry shores and shops selling Murano glass, arriving at the San Marco district. The cupola of the basilica, the soaring bell tower, and the gothic silhouette of the Palazzo Ducale make this a one-of-a-kind place.
From the banks of the Schiavoni, leave the lagoon on your right and head towards Castello along Via Garibaldi, an area that exudes the atmosphere of Venice past; not far from here, you'll find the green areas of the Gardens that are home to the Biennale d'Arte, the area next to the Lido di Venezia, the prestigious home of the Mostra Internazionale d'Arte Cinematografica.
