Liked: The room was large, with a double bed and two single bed, great for families. It was useful to have a kitchen sink and fridge. The hot water for the showers was plentiful. The location was excellent, Waitrose and Sainsburys were a few minutes away and there were loads of restaurants and cafes within a 10 to 15 minute walk from the hotel. It was very easy to get to the V and A, Science Museum and Natural History Museum as well as Kensington Park. Tube stations were close by too. The staff were friendly and the room was cleaned and tidied every day.
Disliked: To be honest we didn't dislike much about the hotel. However it is worth pointing out to other travellers that there aren't any common rooms or traditional kitchen facilities. The rooms and the facilities in them are a little old but were fine. Having to eat out for most meals was a pain and expensive in this part of London, but we made good use of the supermarkets for breakfast and lunch.

Liked: Staff very good. Sainsburys is a minute walk open til midnight. Gloucester st tube is only a five minute walk down the street. Very close to natural history museum and a few great Italian restaurants plus a laundromat and deli all one minute away
Disliked: not self contained as describes and tap dripped and queen bed base was broken and they hadn't fixed it

Liked: Very nice and friendly reception with one fantastic Philippini Lady Leyla, she really helped us with everything! Anwar is an elder building, a place with breath of an old London spirit! Very close to London Underground, few minutes - I would recomend Hogarth Road during the night and the parallel Earl"s Courth Gardens during the day. There is one really nice Market Sainsbury just around the corner, one step away to Cromwell Road (suvenire shops), they are open all the way to the midnight, so you can spend your time in London city longer, as you are welcome to come in Anwar house at any time, you have your own key that opens the main gate! We got new towels and toilet paper every day, even our beds were made when we were back, very nice! So actually, nice low cost place, friendly and safe, clean and thats it! Thats our impression, we will stay there in future for sure! And we will bring one special present from our country for Leyla, nice nice Lady!!
Disliked: nothing
