Getting here by train: From the west and south: Take the Underground line 6 as far as Währinger Strasse / Volksoper, tram lines 40 or 41 - 43. The tram stop you want when travelling towards the town centre is "Schwarzspanierstrasse". From the east: Take tram line "D" as far as Schottentor, from there it is one stop with tram lines 37, 38, 40, 41 or 42 ("Schwarzspanierstraße"). From the Airport: Vienna Airport Lines (Bus) As far as Schwedenplatz and after that with tram line 1 towards Stefan-Fadinger Platz as far as the Schottentor stop; from there one stop with tram lines 37, 38, 40, 41 or 42 ("Schwarzspanierstraße"). The bus ticket costs € 6.00 + € 1.80 for a single ticket on Vienna public transport. CAT – City Airport Train (16 minutes into town) Take the CAT as far as Landstrasse/Vienna Mitte, change to Underground line U4 in the direction of Heiligenstadt. Get off at Schottenring, cross over to the other side of the platform and travel one stop with line U2 towards Karlsplatz (get off at Schottentor/Universität). From there it is one stop with tram lines 37, 38, 40, 41 or 42 ("Schwarzspanierstraße"). The CAT ticket costs € 9.00 + € 2.00 for a single ticket on Vienna public transport.
