Liked: This place has a nice mix of people. It's not just gap years looking for a party although I'm sure you can find that. Chris is friendly, helpful, mellow, and attentive to any needs. There is just a microwave and fridge in the kitchen but that's all you need with local food so cheap and abundant. We loved that there is AC in the sleeping dorms at night. Laundry was a good deal. Soap provided. It's close to the beach and away from city center noise but really easy to get to all that.

Disliked: There was no problem that could not be overcome by talking to Chris.

Liked: Friendly and very helpful staff, free WiFi, computer use and breakfast! Good size lockers. Quiet (on Thursday night) and homely. Took about half an hour in rush hour by taxi from airport - $15sgd.

Disliked: quite hard bed - not so nice after a 12hr flight.

Liked: The staff were very helpful. Wifi was free. Breakfast was free, though it was basic. You could walk to the beach in 15 minutes. There was a washing machine available.

Disliked: There were only two showers and they were in with the toilets, making them quite cramped. Also, I couldn"t get hot water for my shower. The rooms were also cramped. Reception wasn't always manned.
