Liked: Fantastic staff, very modern and clean, amazing showers, great price, great atmosphere, perfect location (2 minutes from Grassmarket).
Disliked: Wifi is ridiculously slow, basically unusable. Considering the breakfast is paid (although cheap), it could have been a bit better.

Liked: It has a good location and very nice neighbourhood. The lounges were quiet interesting , the sun was shining across the windows.
Disliked: There was not enough fresh air, there was not door from our room to terrace.

Liked: Really nice atmosphere, great lounge area where you easily meet other travelers. Dorms are bigger than in any hostel I've seen, so it doesn't feel cramped. Generally one of the best hostels I've been staying at!
Disliked: Facilities are slightly old, but they keep it all very clean so it doesn't really matter. As others have mentioned, there are not many power plugs around. they are always helpful with charging your devices at the reception, but you might want to bring a separate alarm clockif your phone needs to be charged over night..
