Liked: Felt very safe and secure in this hostel

Disliked: Maybe could have been more cooking equipment available for use in the kitchen as utensils very limited

Liked: This is a great place to stay. It is a family-owned business and the owners were gracious enough to pick me up at the hostel and take me to get something to eat when I arrived (I had to call in advance to purchase this service). They have a shared kitchen, two patios and free continental breakfast. The staff is very professional. One of the staff members named Uriel speaks very good English and is very helpful.

Disliked: It's a bit far from the center of the city (still within walking distance), but also you get to be in a quieter area and get to interact with more local people and guests from around Mexico. So this is not such a bad thing. Sometimes you have to let the water run in the shower for about 10 minutes to get hot water.

Liked: Location good if you enjoy walking, which we do!. Breakfast on deck is average, better than getting nothing though, so not complaining!. The deck is nice to sit out on. Do try a very cheap sandwich from the shop directly below, they are delicious!! Staff member yair (young boy working) was very friendly and helpful, he arranged us a tour to tequila (fantastic! + 150 peso for jose cuervo tour) with fabi driving us there for 300 pesos each, she also took us to tlaquepaque which was awesome and a must do. We got recommended to a great restaurant tomate for dinner. Fabis husband took us to the bus station for 60 pesos which was helpful! Highly recommended

Disliked: The rooms are very basic, old sheets etc. Our private room had no windows and very bare ( a bit like a cell) but we didn't spend much time in there so not a problem. And only 10 dollars a night. The bathroom facilities are pretty poor but clean. We delt with it for 2 days so you will get over it.
