Liked: this is my second stay here at this lodge mostly for convenience of access to public transport and familiarity with location.

Liked: hostel is hard to find but once you have found the hostel you will realise it is well located with good access to the sights of kl and to public transport connections. the breakfast is simple (just toast and tea/coffee). wifi is accessible in the rooms. overall good value for money.

Disliked: this hostel was very hard to find at first, even the taxi driver didn't know the name of the street. just ask to be dropped off at the central market building (don't follow their instructions it's too confusing) the hostel is hidden behind the road construction work.

Liked: They offer a single private room in an affordable price. Therefore, if you respect your privacy very much, you can enjoy a private room without burning a hole in your wallet.

Disliked: Not many people staying here so it's a little bit creepy to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night or very early morning, as I'm a woman traveling alone.

Liked: great little hotel. centrally located between two train stations and close to lots of restaurants and markets. nice private rooms and clean shared bathrooms with hot water 24/7. friendly and helpful staff. they upgraded me from a single to a double room for no extra charge. breakfast is included and the rooftop cafe is absolutely lovely. top value for money.

Disliked: a little bit tricky to find. my taxi driver drove around in circles for a little while and then dropped me on a street corner. from there, the locals were able to direct me. the another minor issue was that my room didn't have a window. i'd seen photos on the internet so i knew this was a possibility and was prepared for it. the rooftop cafe made up for it. occasionally there was a water shortage, but it never lasted long.
