hostel california changed completely and now is X Hostel, with another administration and location. It is the best hostel I've ever been, very center (it was not necessary to use public transport at any time, I delayed walking 15 or 20 minutes to the spa, center and train station, 4 minutes walk there is a restaurant to eat all you want for 4 euros.'s staff is the best, the girls are very nice and attentive, care a lot about whether you are comfortable, all day the hostel arranges activities at night as special dinners, pool party, pub crawl, parties on a boat on the Danube, etc.. On security, free lockers available there although it looks very safe because each room has a password to enter. About the bathroom, everything works fine. On the price I think it is best, is one of the cheapest hostel in Budapest. Honestly my stay was incredible in that place, thoroughly recommended Read all Hostel California reviews

Hostel California is just two minutes walk from the world heritage Andrassy street and about five more minutes walk from the Oktogon square. We are in the very downtown. Hostel California is the closest hostel to the world famous Szechenyi Bath, the best spa in Budapest.
