We were given an entire apartment that beds 8 for just the four of us! It was really well equipped; two bathrooms (with decent enough hot water that they could be used simultaneously :P), two toilets, a kitchen with fridge and small freezer, hob, pans, and lots of plates and cutlery, a dining table and large living area. It was all very clean and well maintained. Csaba is extremely friendly and helpful, made lots of recommendations, gave us some discounts, and took the time to answer any queries we had and arrange transport to the airport at the end of our stay. WiFi available was great. The location is also very central, just a few minutes walk to lots of shops and restaurants and public transport links as well as some important sights. Thanks for everything, Csaba! Read all Happyhostel reviews

Overview

The Városház Street and its proximity make the historic core of Pest that is located in one of the most frequented traffic, shopping, entertainment and administration quarter of the capital. This part of district 5th has still preserved the civil ambience of old times in Pest where you can easily withdraw turning the noise of the busy city into peace and rest in a minute.
Its central location makes it possible to reach within a few minutes' walk the surrounding cafe's, restaurants, Budapest's main shopping mile, the Váci Street, or even small unique shops offering state-of-the-art or traditional specialities, the best cinemas in downtown, the most prestigious theatres, the Danube promenade, and within reach you can find all forms of public city transport.
In the Városház Street there is the eighteenth-century building of Szervita Church, the Mayor's Office of Budapest City Hall which is the largest public building of baroque times in the City of Pest and the beautiful monument of the Main Post Office in eclectic style.
The network of these small, narrow streets perfectly fits into the busy crossroads of Pest City, thus it can be stated with confidence: the Városház Street is the heart of Budapest.
