Liked: I loved everything about this property. I even liked the location but wouldn't recommend it for female travelers. I don't mind the excitement and it was excitement right outside your window. Place is very secure and just a great experience.

Disliked: Nothing.

Liked: This hostel was FANTASTIC. The staff were exceptionally helpful. The nightly activities were a great way to meet other travellers. The rooms and bathrooms were always clean, and fairly new. It was interesting being on the Red Light District, but i felt v safe the whole time i was there - although i wouldn't have gone out by myself after dark. A 15min walk to the city centre. It prob worth a visit to Frankfurt just for the hostel experience :)

Disliked: The bathroom drainage was interesting - the sinks on level 5 splashed water onto the table surface, and although the showers were v stylish, the floor flooded (although a squegee was provided).

Liked: Great proximity to the Frankfurt Hauptbanhof for those flying in and out of Frankfurt, but I would have been happier staying at Five Elements for longer -- great room with moderm decpr. fabulous showers, friendly staff and good common meeting area in the lobby. Breakfast was pretty decent for 4 euro! Also, great to have a follow-up email from Five Elements (on an earlier stay, booked further in advance), that allowed me to pay the balance of my stay (instead of just the deposit required by HostelBookers.com).

Disliked: Every now and then, I would become a bit uneasy about the red light district location, which generally felt safe save for an odd drunk here and there. Nothing that Five Elements could control. I also found the cost of staying in a single to be pretty high for a hostel (i.e. I don't expect to strip the bed of sheets when I'm 55-60 euro a night).

Liked: Awesome location - in spite of the natural wariness towards a Red Light District. Plenty of activities for both the individual and the group traveller. Rooms were spartan but all necessary amenities were provided or could be rented at minimal cost. Toilets were definitely miles ahead of what I've seen previously.

Disliked: Nothing too major to cause irritation or discomfort. The stay was pleasant enough in general.

Liked: It was very clean and roamy, excellent facilities (kitchen, Wi-Fi, lockers, etc) were available.

Disliked: Room was close to elevator and the noise from elevator was distracting
