Liked: The hostal was one of the friendliest places. The location was perfect to walk or use people mover to all the Niagara Falls sights. The owners were extra nice and very helpful. We opted for an extra night because of location and friendliness and the price. Closeby are shops and artsy galleries and pubs and city hall and police dept so was very safe. The river is one minute away and the neighborhood has showstopper lawns. The owners provide continental breakfast and clean kitchen. It gets a solid A from me. Drawback is the small showers.

Disliked: Small showers

Liked: I definitely recommend this hostel. It's the most frendly hostel I've ever been to. The owner is friendly and helpful. I need information about the bus directly from Niagara Falls to Toronto Pearson Airport, he let me use his internet for free to check info and even wanted his son to drive me there, ahtough finally he was not available and I did take the Coach Canada back to Toronto downtown and take the Airport Express to the airport. Compared with him, the staff at the bus terminal were boviously not friendly enough. I met nice people there as well. Anyway, if I have a chance to come back to Niagara Falls again, I will choose this hostel again for sure.

Liked: The hostel is a 20min walk to the Falls, but don't let this put you off! Its a straight walk on one road next to the river and if you're after a quiet, safe stay away from the tacky Clifton Hill tourist trap then this place is perfect. The family that run it are wonderful, very friendly and helpful, I arrived way before the check-in time but this wasn't a problem at all, they let me check in early, gave me maps of the area, were concerned that I was dressed warmly enough...very very sweet. I'm a young female, was travelling on my own and felt totally safe staying here and walking to and from the Falls, even at night. I would definitely recommend this hostel and will stay here again whenever I next return to Niagara.

Liked: This was our favourite hostel on our travels so far! It is family run and they really go out of their way to make you feel at home. We would recommend taking down the phone number for the hostel and ringing as soon as you get to the bus station and you can get directions to the hostel as it can be hard to find by yourself (we ended up having a policeman drive us there after wandering around lost!). Muffins at breakfast are fantastic and the I had the best night's sleep ever. Wish we could have stayed longer!
