Directions
By car: From Brussels or Oostende (E40): Take exit Gent – Antwerpen. Follow 'Alle Richtingen' (all directions) not Centrum. At the traffic lights turn right, cross the tram lines and then bear left and follow the ring road over the fly-over. Follow the water (to your right) and then the railway. Keep going until you get to a big roundabout (Dampoort) you'll see the train station to your right. Go straight over the roundabout. You will see a huge chimney on your left. After you've passed the chimney, take the 1st right onto the quay. The boat is moored there; you will see a postbox with 'Bon Vivant' written on it. If you get lost, ask for the Dampoort station, from there you will see the big chimney. By public transport: From Gent St- Pieters train station: Get a train direction: Antwerpen or Eeklo. All trains travelling in this direction stop at Gent Dampoort (7 mins). Bus n° 34, 35, 36 or 71, 72, 76, 77 also go to Gent Dampoort. It's a 10 minute walk to our B&B from Gent Dampoort station. When you exit the train station bare left, cross the big roundabout and go in the direction of the huge chimney. Follow the road, the water will be on your right and the chimney on your left. When you see a sign for the 'VDAB' and 'Bouwland Gent' leave the ring road to the right. Now you are on the quay. The Bon Vivant is moored next to another boat (Renfort). Look for a green letter box (Buzon) with 'Bon Vivant' written on it.
