Liked: I liked the food, it was very good, location in such a a beautiful part of Austria was very nice, staff were very helpful. Room was great value for money.

Disliked: The hostel smelled very strongly of cigarette smoke. The first thing I noticed was the smell of smoke as I walked in the door. There was a bar right below my room and my room stunk of cigarette smoke from the bar. Also where the eating area was, there was the bar where people were smoking. At the reception was an ashtray which was full of cigarette butts.

Liked: A home away from home... You couldn't get a warmer welcome from all the staff at The Treehouse. Nothing is too much trouble and they always have time to speak and get to know you... It's pretty much still an undiscovered gem, to us Brits.. The price makes this a very affordable ski lodge, for all those looking for a Winter holiday on a budget. Only 5 mins walk from the slopes, ski school & ski hire facilities. The Treehouse is located in a very quiet location (all I could hear from my room was the river and windchimes) and the scenery around is stunning. I would recommend having an evening meal, as after a hard day on the piste you're craving the lovely hearty food on offer. As a solo female traveller I felt very safe and welcome, as the staff went out of their way to introduce me to other guests and spend time chatting to me too. Had a wonderful experience there and I'm sooo pleased I chose the Treehouse as my first solo travel experience - I've been thoroughly spoilt :0) !

Liked: Great atmosphere and AWESOME location!! The staff are so friendly and helpful, and we had such a great time at Treehouse.

Liked: A very nice place where you can feel truly Austrian atmosphere. The staff is very kind, nice and helpful. The surroundings are fantastic. Very good home-cooked food and cheap drinks, the bar where locals come together every evening and their stories make us feel sorry that we spent so little time there. Thanks Gerhard, Rachel and Karin - we already miss you

Liked: Great location, really peaceful and relaxing, a nice spot to go walking in. Meals provided by the hostel were fantastic.

Disliked: Probably not the best place if you have allergies - the downstairs room where dinner and breakfast were served was thick with smoke (including first thing in the morning), and lots of dogs andI cats around. It was virtually empty when I was there and it felt a little awkward. I can see it would be a great place to stay when it was busier though.

Liked: extremely nice place to kick back, staff great, cheap drinks, away from town which is tiny anyway so doesn't matter and such a rural homely feel to the place. Dogs there are cuddly and fun etc. Cool place

Liked: nothing..the worst location in a magic countryside of Gruenau im Almtal

Disliked: the garden and the balcony was durty with a lot cigarets throw away.we take some pictures.forests without brushwood it is not possible.
